These are the first two pages of a short mini comic titled "Death Letter" that I completed just in time for MOCCA last month. I don't really write comics, so I try to get stories from other sources. This one is an illustrated account of the song "Death Letter", which I encountered when listening to the White Stripes, but which has been done countless times by blues musicians, done first by Son House. It was a cathartic project to do. Now I've got to find another!

The bathtub piece was the back cover of Reflux 4, a comic anthology self-published by a group of friends. The theme of the 4th issue was "dreaming". The bathtub piece inspired the jellyfish piece, which became the second painting in a 3-piece series done for the Semi-Competitive competion. They didn't win. I'll give it another try next year.
*Big thank you to Christine for her help with these paintings!

I created this blog to show work from my portfolio while I work on my website. Please take a look and feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Enjoy!

These two paintings were selected to be in Curvy 3, an annual collection of graphic design & illustration exclusively by women. The book is published out of Australia & is associated with the Semi-Permanent events.
