Loser....I haven't posted in a while, because it's just been too crazy with the holidays. This is a tee shirt design I did for a contest at work. I didn't win, but neither did anyone else, actually. They scrapped the contest. Well, it doesn't really make me feel any better to not be the only loser.

Happy Thanksgiving! (or the holiday I almost hate now)Well, things have been very hectic for me lately, since where I work Thanksgiving is bigger than Jesus and his birthday. But the stress will all melt away tomorrow, when I get to eat lots of yummy food, including my very own famous French apple pie.
I don't normally post the illustrations I do of food for something at Whole Foods called "faves", because they can be pretty boring out of context, but on the eve of the holiday most worshiping food, I thought it was appropriate. Enjoy the feast!

Not My Painting:
Hey guys...my fiancé did a pretty cool painting of Stephen Colbert and gave him a copy of it at his signing for "I Am America, And So Can You!" Check out the full version on his blog!
Yay Kittens!I am very psyched about the possibility of getting a kitten or two at some point in the near future, and now I'm obsessed with the website kittenwar.com, which is so much fun.
Train Sketches...
Just some sketches of my comic character that I did on my travels throughout the subway system.

Use Your NoodleThis is a design I did for work, but it's for the employees only, not customers, so I got to be a little more crazy with it than a lot of other projects. Now doesn't that make you want to eat your noodles?

Psycho-Pumpkin-Headed Maniacs!
Well, that's what we are at Whole Foods. But, everyone loves pumpkin– and we can't all be crazy...can we?

Dragons are cool...
...there's no denying it. So that's why I put this item I did for work up. (in case you don't know this, I work at Whole Foods Market as a store artist.) It's paint marker on plexi-glass, and it's for the sushi department. Maybe I'll add my other sushi "paintings", of a lotus & a koi fish. mmmm, sushi.

BjorkThis is a sketch for an illustration of Bjork I am working on. It will involve an Icelandic landscape and strange little creatures that I believe help Bjork create her very unique music.

DreamsIn these sketches the "hero" (I suppose I have to decided on a name soon) is having and has just woken from a particular dream. I don't remember many of my own dreams, but if I do, it's usually because it packed a punch.
the Struggle Continues...the reluctant "hero" is not ready for the fight...no matter how much or how hard she prepares.
the StruggleThis comic will have some brutal fight scenes, but not glamorous. I want them realistic (as realistic as a super-powered-human vs. unknowable-entity fight can be) and kind of painful.
SketchesI've felt bad about not posting anything new in a while. We've been trying to get our studio in order, and it's definitely not the fun part, but it has to get done. So I decided to post some sketches I've been doing on the train to and from work. I normally like to post more finished work, so I'm kind of curious what peoples' reactions will be to rough sketches. These are all of the main character from the comic I'm working on. It's about two people who have to fight; one doesn't make it, and one does.

BK, baby!
My adopted borough! This was another fun project I did for work, since I love NYC & Brooklyn architecture. And of course I had to get a tree in there. When my mother's cousins came to live in Inwood from Ireland, she told me they were shocked to find any trees at all in the city.

Samurai Champloo
My Samurai Champloo piece got put on hold for a bit, but it was a lot of fun to work on and I'm glad to be able to finally post it. If you've never seen the show, it's definitely worth checking out.

I haven't posted in a while- so here I go again. A drawing I did for work about workin' out to the max. Get in shape, girl!

For those of you who don't know the awesome show on Cartoon Network, these are characters from "Samurai Champloo". I will be coloring this, but wanted to get a preview out there.
